Recently, Karen Clark Cole and Blink UX were named to the Women Presidents’ Organization’s 7th Annual 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies award list. I sat down with Karen to learn more about her involvement with WPO and what it meant to her to win this award. — Amy L. Dickson
What is your involvement with the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO)?
I’ve been a member for three years now with the Seattle chapter. Each chapter is limited to 20 members and meets monthly. There are also 100+ chapters worldwide, which all get together for the annual conference. It’s amazing to have such a network of likeminded business owners; it’s very powerful.
When did you learn that you and Blink were being named to the 7th Annual 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies award list?
A few weeks before this year’s annual conference, I heard about the award. I would normally have been at the conference, and would have loved to accept the award in person, but this year I had knee surgery instead!
How did you feel? Any impressions?
EXCITED! It’s fantastic to get that kind of acknowledgement from a group that I truly respect and we are listed with a group of really fantastic companies. While moving up the list and growing fast is exciting, it’s my top goal at Blink to ensure we grow slowly enough to be very careful and stay laser focused on our company’s culture, vision, and values.
What are your goals as a fastest growing woman-led business?
To ensure Blink is a thriving organization where culture and longevity are top priorities.
