Blink is pleased to announce the speakers, topics, and activities for our fifth annual UX conference. ConveyUX has become the annual event to celebrate research and design in the Puget Sound Area.

Our ConveyUX 2017 featured speakers include

Steve Krug

Steve Krug is the author of Don’t Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, which has sold over 450,000 copies and serves as almost everyone’s introduction to usability and user experience design.

Steve will have one session:

Amber Case

Amber Case is a cyborg anthropologist and user experience designer. She has been listed among Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 and her TED talk, “We are all cyborgs now” has been viewed over a million times. She is also the author of Calm Technology and the founder of CyborgCamp, an unconference on the future of humans and computers.

Peter Merholz

In 2001, Peter co-founded Adaptive Path, and was instrumental in its growth from a small boutique firm to a renowned international consultancy. He also led the global design team at and recently authored the book Org Design for Design Orgs.

Rand Fishkin

Rand Fishkin uses the ludicrous title, Wizard of Moz. He’s founder and former CEO of Moz, board member at presentation software startup Haiku Deck, co-author of a pair of books on SEO, and co-founder of

Rand will be speaking on March 2 at 1:00 PM on SEO and UX:

Mary Haggard – VP at Providence Health Services

Mary focuses on defining and growing new health related patient facing businesses at Providence Health and Services in areas like women’s health, chronic disease and senior services. Mary has spent her time at Providence’s Innovation Center, which is bringing new health services, technologies and care models to the market in ways that no other health system in the country is.

Mary will be speaking March 2 at 2:00 PM on how to innovate within an established organization:

Michael Gough – VP of Design at Microsoft

Michael Gough is a widely recognized design evangelist and advocate for the next generation of creativity. He worked at Adobe for over a decade, ending his stint as their VP of Experience Design. From Adobe he moved on to Microsoft, where is now the Chief Design Officer for the ASG team.
